We had a fun party for Madey early this year! My good friend Becky is starting to do "photo shoot" parties! She did such a great job! The girls had so much fun! They had fun walking my homemade Red Carpet! We had fun music playing while they got thier pictures taken. It was one of my favorite parties that I have done. I can not believe Madey is eleven! She is my biggest helper right now! We love you Madey!

I feel like Thanksgiving just came and went! Time is going by so fast! Which is good and bad!I didn't think I was going to "make it" to Thanksgiving Day pregnant, but as you can see I was and am definitely pregnant!I am trying to hide my huge tummy here with Rob. Madey took this picture for us and cut Rob's head off. (She is a cute photographer!) It was so much fun to have Megan home! She was in London for 6 months! We all missed her! We are going to do our best to keep her in the US for awhile. We had a fun day at the Coleman's! Thanks Heidi for taking over for me!

Halloween Fun

I am so behind on this blog! I am going to try to do a quick update for my future "blog book"! We love to carve pumkins! Ethan got a little grossed out this year. The pictures crack me up! We had our yearly Halloween party with the Larsons and Crockets! Once again we missed the Tassainer, Rogers, Gales,& Livingstons! Maybe next year right girls? Notice the difference between my girls costumes. Brinley wanted to be as pink and as pretty as possible. Madey on the other hand wanted to be a homeless person. She went outside and got a bunch of leaves for her hair, she rubbed dirt all over her clothes. She really "got into this costume". Brinley was putting lipstick on while watching Madey mess up her hair. She was so disgusted, She said "I do not like Hobos!" Madey was disgusted with her for being too fancy! It was the funniest conversation to listen to! I love these 2 completely opposite girls!

We are Having a Baby!!!

I should have done this post months ago, but better late than never right?? We are so so excitted for this sweet Baby Boy! I did a little "Luau" to tell my kiddos about the baby. I had a couple of pressents for them to open. One with the ultrasound picture and a little gift for them from the baby. THey were so shocked! It was so fun to watch them look at the ultrasound pictures. They looked at them forever! I had a 3-D ultrasound which is so cool! My doctor wanted to have a detalied one because I am so old! (I feel old!)He actually looked like a Jones baby in the "pictures"! It was amazing! He kept waving to us it made me cry! It was like he was so excitted to join our family! I just can't wait to meet him! He is one more special little miracle! Rob and I can't believe that we are really going to have 5 kids! We just didn't give up, we knew we had another baby waiting! Prayers really are answered in the Lord's timetable! We are so blessed!Oh- By the way he is due December 20th! So just perfect timing huh?!!I guess we will take them when they'll come! Hopefully I will go early!

He is so happy to be turning 8! Between getting to go to cub scouts and getting baptized he is just on cloud 9! He keeps saying "This is my best day ever! Better than Christmas!"(He has said this everyday for a week now!) He loves pack meeting! I had to take some pictures of him because he was just so excitted! We just love this boy! Rob is already counting the days until he is one of "his" scouts! (Only 4 more years to go Rob!)

These are some of my favorite pictures of the Brins and GG! Everytime I look at them I just crack up! Brinley decided that they were going to get married the other morning. I asked her if I could take pictures of it and she agreed.
I asked her what her plans were and she said that they both needed to bring some things for their wedding. Brinley chose a Snow white crown, a stuffed animal, a book (that she could not read) and of course a bouquet of flowers. Garrett chose to bring his favorite blanket and 2 tennis balls. Really what more could you want to start of a great marriage! (That is about all Rob and I had when we started off)!
The best part about these pictures is Garrett! Brinley is happy and smilling in every picture, but Garrett on the other hand starts having second thoughts! He starts off Blissfully happy but then he starts to think about what and WHO he has "decided" to marry and becomes a little less thrilled. They make me laugh! Thank goodness for Garrett's sake Brinley changed her mind about the marriage the next day. You are safe for a day or two Garrett!

Goodbye BMX Track Hello Grass!

We are having so much fun with grass! I am not missing all of the dust and mud! This picture does not do Rob's track justice! He really built the coolest track! All of my good footage of it is on my video camera. Rob was a little sad to part with it but he admits now that the kids use it 10 times as much! Brinley and Garrett have learned to ride bikes in the last few weeks because of the sidewalk. It is so great! Even though it is 114 degrees out there they play soccer, and volleyball all of the time! Our Friend Dean Stadler did all of the lanscaping! He did such a great job! Thanks Dean!

Brinley's party was so much fun to do! We had a Luau/slip-n-slide party! It was the First time we have ever really "used" our backyard. Despite the crazy heat I think everyone had fun! My favorite part was making the party favors. I got these sand buckets w/shovels and filled them up with treats with a note that said "I hope you "DUG" my B-day party, thanks for coming!" Making the sand castle cake was fun too! I love parties!

Brinley is 4! We love this girl! She is so much fun to be with! She has the best outlook on life! She is always happy and smiling!(Well 90% of the time anyway). I was just looking at this picture and I just have to write down this little moment I had with her, (so I don't forget it!)One morning I found her singing to her baby while rocking her. It was so sweet, she was being so still and quiet. I told her she was a wonderful mother! She just lit up and said, "Now that I am a mother can we read scriptures!" I just laughed, (normally that is not her favorite thing to do each morning!) I asked her, "Why is that what mothers do?" She said, "Yes rock their baby and read scriptures!"
I am so glad that right now in her 3 year old mind that is the definition of a mother! When Madey was about 4 she told me she did not want to ever be a mother! I was shocked! I asked her why and she said, "It is way too much work!" The funny thing is this totally sums up Madey and Brins- Brinley is looking at what is fun and Madey is looking at the reality of it all! I love these two girls! Thankfully I have won Madey over and She does want to be a mother someday!

A weekend of snow!

This is another fun memory I had to catch up on! We went up to Show Low for the weekend, to go to Daniel Livingston's baptism and to get some sledding in! We had a blast! We stayed at Kirk and JaNae's cabin. We wish they had been able to be there!It was wierd to be there without them! We went sledding right outside of thier backyard! Madey and Ethan loved it! Brins and Garrett weren't too sure about it! Rob was pretty disappointed at how cold the kids got! He thinks because he is from Idaho and grew up in the snow, they should never get cold!(Cute thinking!) I guess they have whimpy AZ. blood! At least they are cute like him!

Christmas Catch up!

I had one too many Christmas pictures this year! There are so many I left out! We had the best Christmas! I just had to put in a picture of Ron and Linda Anderson as Santa and Mrs. Claus! It just wouldn't be Christmas without them! They were so nice to come over to our family Christmas Eve party! Of course there are some pictures of our "Uncle" Jeff too! We love you as Santa! What a fun month!

Taking my girls to see the Nutcracker, was one of my favorite memories! Heidi and I always take our girls together, but this year she didn't want to go! So it was just us 3! Madey begged to go backstage and that ended up being so much fun! Brinley was a total crack up! She just loved it! She kept whispering to me how pretty the dancers looked. She really didn't like the boy dancers though! She said, "I will not dance with a boy!" (So this is my proof that she DID say that! I will use it against her in about 10 years!)

Ok- well here are some pictures that I should have done back in December! We could hardly wait for our Meg to get off that plane! Her flight was delayed by over 2 hours! Heidi, Abby and I were so excitted for the sisters to be back together! We were missing Lindsey that night! I wish I had a pictures of Meg and mom! Mom was so excitted! She made this cute sign for her! We had Meg here for less than two weeks before she headed back to BYU! She graduates this coming December with a Political Science Major! She has big plans that girl! We love her So much!

I am so behind on this blog! But for the sake of my kids and a future scrapbook, I have got to catch up! December was crazy, but it was fun crazy! We had so many fun parties and family activities, I am sad to be back to "real -life"! I have way too many pictures that I want to post!
Today Brinley said the funniest thing,that I just have to record! I was getting her ready for Joy School, and I told her that I was going to miss her so bad when she was gone. She looked at me and said in a REALLY monotone voice,"You will be just fine." I just started laughing! She keeps me on my toes!

Megan's Coming Home!

My little sister Megan is coming Home tonight! She has been serving a church mission for the last 18 months, in Romania! We have missed her so much! My kids are just as excitted for her to come home than for Christmas Day! That tells you something about her! She is so sweet and so much fun to be with! She has an amazing talent at making people feel happy and good about themselves! She is truly a Christlike person! We are so lucky to have her in our family! We will see her in about 7 hours! What a great Christmas gift!

Brinley - My Current Boss!

Ok, well I have 500 things that I should be doing right now, but I had to write down just a few of the things Brins said today! She was so so bossy! She kept telling me to do whatever came to her mind. When she thought I was not going to follow her commands, she say, "Grandma told me so or Gramma says!"

Tonight she was singing, The we will we will rock you song!(I don't even know how she knows that song). I asked her what that song meant and she said, " It means you flush the toilet." She is so funny!

We had some friends drop off a treat and thier family Christmas card tonight. Brinley sat and looked at the card forever. (The family has 4 cute boys).Then she said, "When I look at this card I think LOVE!" I could not stop laughing! Rob said, " Oh no we are in so much trouble with this girl!"

About 30 min. ago I was saying goodnight to Madey, and Brins came in and said, "Madey don't forget your personal prayers!" Madey said, "I already said them Brinley." All 5 of us are used to her great "advice"!

Ok now I can get back to my to do list but I had to remind myself of how cute she is! She was such a sticker today, I didn't think she was so cute when she opened a pressent that I had put together and had made a HUGE MESS in the kitchen after I had cleaned. I love you Brin Brin!

Madey's Baptism 2006

Our Sweet Madey is ten today! She said it is her golden year. Ten on Dec. 10th! She is so cute! We are so thankful to have her! I am so lucky to be her mom! She was worth the tearful wait!

Rob and I are especially thankful that she is feeling healthy again and back to her happy self! Last Tuesday I got a call from the school nurse. She said that Madey was in her office & that she just didn't look right. She paused and said, "I think I am going to call 911! I said "What?!" I was shocked! (Little did she know her teacher had already called 911.) To make a REALLY LONG story short, Madey had passed out in class and was basically disoriented for a little while. By time I got to the school she was lying on a bed in the nurses office with 6 or 7 firemen standing around her. (she was hating it!) They were testing her blood, listening to her heart, and asking her questions to see if she was coherent. I couldn't believe it! (That morning she said that she was tired, but she had no fever, no cough, no signs of being sick at all. ) I told her that she could stay home but she wanted to go to school). Anyway, one of the firemen thought that she had some sort of obstruction in her chest, so they loaded her up onto a stretcher & off we went to the hospital! I have never riden in an ambulence before and I hope I NEVER do again! It was scary! She had all sorts of tests done at the hospital, an EKG, blood work, Xrays, you name it. She kept changing colors. First she was white, then yellow, then pink the white again. It was crazy! She finally got a breathing treatment and then she pepped up right away! She just couldn't breathe! They found out that she had bacterial pneumonia in her right lung. The doctors kept thinking that it was more, but after 4 hours of watching her, stay a "normal" color they were convinced that she would be fine. What a night!

I forgot to mention that all of this happened right as school was ending. So every eye was on her as she was put into the ambulence, something that just horrified her! She does not like that kind of attention! (Brinley on the other, would have loved it!) She has really appreciated all of the concern and sweet attention that her friends and our family have shown her though. She knows she is loved! Thank goodness you are safe in your bed tonight Madey!(& breathing perfect again!) WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Well this blog has kind of become my journal, so I have to "write" down what Brinley did today. This morning we were in a rush to get out the door. She had one of her shoes in her room and I told her where to find the other one. She ran to get it and came back all excitted that she had gotten it all by herself. A minute later she said really loud,"OH MY GOSH!" I asked what was wrong, she said, "I didn't pray to find my shoe!" I told her that she could still say a prayer of thanks that she found it. She looked at me like- I don't like that idea! So she took off her shoes, went and hid them, then said a sweet prayer all by herself for help to find them.(of course she knew exactly where they were!) Right after her prayer she got up and ran to get her shoes! She came back just BEAMING with her shoes saying," I found them!I found them!" She cracks me up! Cute things like that ONLY happen when you are in a huge hurry!(Now you know why I was late today Monika!) Sorry!

This year was our 10th annual friend party! Except we were missing 4 families! Dori, Angel, Rhonda, and Kristi's families! They have all moved away and are now traitors!! Traitors who I love and miss! At least we MIGHT have a reunion in 4 weeks! Rhonda is coming from Hawaii and Dori is coming from Utah! Hooray! We are missing 16 kids in this picture! So sad! At least the Tassainers and Larsons were there!
Our very 1st Halloween party was so fun and crazy that I went into preterm labor the next day with Madey! I had to stay in bed for 6 weeks after that! Jen sure knows how to throw a good party!

Kids Halloween Party

The week before Halloween Madey and Ethan had an early release day.I am always trying to think of something fun to fill those short days,so that morning I decided to do an impromptu kids party!( cuz I'm crazy!)It really was fun to do! We made popcorn hands, cookie spiders, bobbed for apples, then made them into carmel apples. The best part was our "mummy wrapping" contest! The girls won that one! Ella was a good sport! We ended the party with Madey giving, whoever was willing, a ride on the quad.(on Rob's precious dirt track!)We even had Halloween flavored Jones soda! I love this picture of Garrett! He was so happy and so SHOCKED that I gave him his own can of soda! What a happy day!

Ethan is 7! I can't believe it! I love those dimples! He is so dang cute! We had the best BMX party! It was Rob's dream come true! I am so sad that I didn't take a picture of all 12 boys riding their bikes on our homemade track. I took tons of video but forgot to take a picture! Rob has spent hours and hours working on this track! (I will have to post a picture of it later.) It is his current obsession!( I am glad his obsessions are so innocent!) He was up the other morning at 5 am watering it down so it wouldn't be so dusty. It is seriously a crack up! I am trying my best to love it despite the muddy mess it brings into my home EVERY DAY!!!!

What a party! I put this picture on to show you what a diva this Brinley is! Of course she thinks I am taking a picture of her! It does not even occur to her that it is Ethan's party and HE is the focus of the day! OH I so love that girl! She has the best opinion of herself!

I had to post this picture of my brother Todd! We had no way to hang up the pinata so he got up on the island and "risked his life" everytime someone hit it/HIM! We love you Uncle Todd! You are the BEST!
